Made in the UK
Crafted in Britain by experienced bed makers and finished to order.
Bring together timeless design, luxurious comfort and everyday flexibility with the Montrose Zip & Link Bed.
Handmade in the UK, the Montrose features a beautifully upholstered tall statement headboard with broad framed panels, creating a smart, tailored finish that works effortlessly in both contemporary and traditional bedrooms.
More than just a stylish upholstered bed, its versatile zip and link design allows the two individual beds to be used separately or securely joined together, giving you the freedom to change your sleeping arrangement whenever required.
One Bed, Two Flexible Sleeping Arrangements
The Montrose is designed for bedrooms where flexibility matters.
Use the beds separately when you need two individual sleeping spaces, or connect them together to create one larger sleeping area.
This makes the Montrose an excellent choice for guest bedrooms, hotels, holiday lets, serviced accommodation and multifunctional bedrooms, where sleeping requirements may regularly change.
Statement Upholstered Headboard
The defining feature of the Montrose is its impressive framed-panel headboard.
Wide upholstered panels create a structured, sophisticated appearance while the soft fabric finish brings warmth and texture to the bedroom.
Its understated design means the Montrose can complement a wide range of interiors without overpowering the rest of your décor.
Optional Under-Bed Drawer Storage
Need additional bedroom storage?
The Montrose can be configured with practical built-in drawer storage, helping you make better use of the space underneath your bed.
Choose from no drawers, two drawer configurations or four drawers using the storage options above.
The drawers provide convenient additional space for bedding, clothing, towels and other bedroom essentials while maintaining the bed’s clean upholstered appearance.
Available in a Choice of Sizes
The Montrose Zip & Link Bed is available in a range of size configurations to suit different bedrooms and sleeping requirements.

Many SOVO beds are available in a choice of fabrics and colours. Available options are displayed on the individual product page.
We make every reasonable effort to represent our fabrics accurately, but colours can vary depending on your screen, brightness settings, photography and room lighting. Upholstery fabrics can also appear lighter or darker depending on the direction of the pile. Where fabric samples are available, we recommend viewing one before ordering if precise colour matching is important.

Bed Sizes
Typical UK mattress dimensions are:
- Single – 90 × 190cm
- Small Double – 120 × 190cm
- Double – 135 × 190cm
- King – 150 × 200cm
- Super King – 180 × 200cm
These are mattress dimensions. The actual bed frame will usually be larger. Always check the dimensions on the individual product page.
A standard UK Double mattress measures approximately 135 × 190cm, whereas a King measures approximately 150 × 200cm. A King therefore gives you additional width and length.
Yes, provided your mattress is the correct size and suitable for the bed you’ve selected.
Choosing Your Bed
A divan generally consists of an upholstered base supporting the mattress and can be a practical choice where storage and efficient use of space are important. An upholstered bed frame usually has upholstered side rails and a more prominent headboard, giving it a more design led appearance.
An ottoman bed uses the area underneath the mattress platform as hidden storage. The platform lifts with the assistance of a lifting mechanism, providing access to the storage compartment underneath.
A solid platform ottoman divan provides the mattress with a continuous supporting platform.A gas lift bedframe has a slatted base and supports the mattress using individual slats and can provide increased airflow around the mattress. The construction can also affect how the mattress feels, so check the individual product specification.
If you want maximum hidden storage, an ottoman is usually the better choice. If you want quick access to smaller compartments, drawers may be more convenient. Remember that drawers require sufficient space alongside the bed to open.
Ottoman beds generally use gas assisted lifting mechanisms designed to make opening and closing the storage platform easier. Always follow the operating and safety instructions supplied with your bed.
Mattresses
Unless specifically ordered separately or as an add on but if the bed itself is purchased then a mattress is not included
There’s no single firmness that’s right for everybody. Body weight, sleeping position, existing mattress and personal preference can all influence how a mattress feels. See our Mattress Buying Guide for more information.
No. Spring count is only one part of mattress construction. Spring design, comfort layers, fillings and overall construction are also important.

Many of our beds require assembly. You can choose to assemble the bed yourself or select our optional assembly service where available.
Our assembly service includes taking the bed to the selected room and assembling the new bed, subject to safe and suitable access. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it does not include dismantling existing furniture, disposing of an old bed or mattress, moving existing furniture or removing packaging.
